The Beatles Story is the world’s largest permanent museum dedicated to Liverpool’s best-known music legends. You’ll learn how these 4 young musicians became the greatest band in the world. It's a great place to learn about their influential legacy through interactive experiences.

What are the highlights of The Beatles Story?
Everything in the main exhibit tells the story of how these 4 boys from Liverpool got propelled to worldwide fame. It contains exclusive photographs of The Beatles and authentic memorabilia, such as instruments and clothing. Its collection includes John Lennon’s famous spectacles and Ringo Starr’s drum kit.
The Beatles Story even has a Cavern Karaoke Stage, which both the young and old can appreciate. You can choose your favourite songs, then put on a show of your own.
One of the highlights of the museum is the Discovery Zone, which is suitable for children of all ages. They can learn about the music, lives and legacy of the band using an interactive timeline. Children can play on a giant floor piano, make Beatles-inspired crafts and listen to songs in a vintage-inspired record store.
The Beatles Story sometimes hosts fun workshops for kids. These are usually held during school holidays, so make sure to check their events page before you travel.
What else can you do at The Beatles Story?
You don’t need to leave the museum when you want some food and refreshments. Head to the Fab4 Café after visiting the museum. Like the rest of the museum, the cafe looks like it’s stuck in the 1960s. It’s a replica of the Cavern Club, where the legendary band began.
Even if you aren’t visiting the museum, the cafe makes a good brunch spot. It has free Wi-Fi, good coffee and serves hearty meals. Their menu has poached egg and toast, sandwiches and burgers, among other meals.
Before you end your museum visit, head off to the Fab4 Store to grab a souvenir. They sell official Beatles merchandise such as shirts, bags, postcards and DVDs. You can also grab exclusive merchandise, which is available only in this shop.

Good to know before visiting The Beatles Story
You must purchase a ticket in advance to enter the museum. They offer special rates for groups of 10 or more. Children from 0 to 4 years of age can enter free of charge.
If you use a wheelchair or you’re travelling with someone who does, you must inform the museum ahead of time because they can only accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs.
The Beatles Story museum is located on the Royal Albert Dock, which is reachable on foot from Lime Street via Liverpool ONE in about 20 minutes. It’s a short walk away from the Museum of Liverpool, too. All the routes have signs, so you'll easily find your way.
If you want to take the bus, the 800, 500 and 25 services will take you straight to the Dock. If you’re driving, there are car parks at the Dock. During busy days, you may leave your car at the parking spaces near Liverpool ONE or ACC Liverpool.
