- But let me start from the start with the first red flag: on the top of the offer on Hotels.com it was written: "Parking available". Then hidden somewhere down in the offer stayed EUR 2/day. But when we arrived he took us to the parking space which was on 3 mins walking distance and there the other guy (who owned the parking) charged us 5 EUR/day!! And when we wanted to access the car on the next day and it was locked, so we had to wait..
- Despite the proximity to the city centre, the area looks extremely sketchy and dirty. Nothing like the photo
- The floor and bathroom were quite dirty. The bed sheets were OBVIOUSLY dirty, and there were no blanket and pillow for the 3rd bed, even though we explicitly booked and paid for 3 people. A mere 1 blanket (without cover sheet) and 1 bed sheet were given to us straight from another room with the explanation, that the hotel is full and there is none
- The air conditioning started just pouring water over one of the beds in the evening, wetting it. So we had to move it. They said they will send someone to check it. Nobody came, and in the end there was puddle of water on the floor..
- We stayed for one night and couldn't bear it anymore. Of course they didn't give us any money back.
- We contacted Hotels.com's support. They were really polite, but couldn't do anything about it. It is a shame, they don't have more robust policy in place for such cases and also, that they allow for such sketchy scammers to thrive. Never again..
