I really like the hotel property, it is clean and luxurious. The morning coffee and newspaper service is really considerate. The location is convenient with a lot of dining options and close to most of Washington's landmarks.
However, my room wasn't ready at normal check-in time. I have stayed in many hotels and this was the first time the room wasn't ready upon arrival. My wife and I had to wait almost an hour for the room to be ready. Although Nick was super polite and offered us $60 breakfast credit, it still left a very unpleasant experience with us. The other thing is, I called the hotel a day before arrival to confirm EV charging, I was told that there were two charging stations in the hotel. After I arrived, valet parking said no charging station for hotel guests (charging station only for residence, but I clearly said I would stay in the hotel to Front Desk). As a result, I had to drive 2km to George Town for fast charging. Not sure why the front desk and valet are not on the same page with this. In terms of the gym, not sure why hotel customers have to pay $15/per person per day, first time this happened to me after many hotel stays. Taking my stay at St Regis Manhattan for example, the EV charging is available even not within their own garage, hotel room is ready even we arrived 2 hour earlier.
Overall, the hotel itself is very nice, but there are just too many details that need to be improved for a reputable brand.
