Just a quaint little revamped “tie plex” of a hotel. Situated in north Laguna. It’s a quick & easy walk to the beach & beautiful sunset/park spots nearby & just outside the Frey of seasonally busy downtown. One can still take a nice 20min. walk, 2minute drive or hop on the trolley to be in the center of town. The managers, Sal & his wife Hinah (I know I’m spelling it incorrectly, so sorry!) are the sweetest & most hospitable duo. From initial greeting to departure they make you feel welcome. Rooms have been redone & have just about everything 1 could need though I could have used a cozy comforter. A handful of rooms have an actual “ocean view” but that’s only if 1 is lucky enough to stay in the 1 of the 3 buildings facing west & unobstructed. I believe it’s formerly apartment buildings & from the outside, definitely feel/look Old School w/charm. Still, it was cozy, comfy, convenient, clean, had modernized rooms, safe parking (numerous carports) & service was unmatched. We only stayed 1 night as it was a quick trip to see friends in town (& being we have a place close by, didn’t want to pay a ton), of all the places I’ve stayed in Laguna the vibe was authentic & sweet. Thanks for the nice visit & lasting favorable impression Sal & Hinah! I’m sure we’ll be back.
