Our overall experience was horrible. One can fall for its historical architecture on the outside, however, the inside is total waste of money. The staff and the management don't have sufficient knowledge about tourism and hotel management. The receptionist couldn't speak English, universal language of especially tourism.
1. Even though we paid for one room only, we were asked for extra tourist tax for each person which came as a surprise.
2. We booked for a room of 3 single XL beds, however, they gave us a room of a double and a single bed in a super tiny room that we couldn't fit our luggages as 3 people.
3. We asked the receptionist (who doesn't speak English and uses Google Translate on the computer screen to communicate with us, which is incredible at a very centric and tourist place like Barcelona) if we can have the room we paid for. Instead of helping, she asked us to leave and offered free cancellation while it's too late for us to find a new hotel. She wasn't even bothered while acting this way. Very poor hotel management there.
4. There was no soup in the bathroom and no table in the room. There was only two towels for a bedroom for 3 people.
5. Air conditioner was not working and the windows didn't have a holder to open!! We were left literally without air in a tiny room!
6. The lockers were also charged even though the hotel was supposed to give it for free because we already paid for the rooms and we are their so-called guests.
