We had a lovely stay for 6 nights in December. The hotel was clean, warm, and comfortable. All the employees were really nice. Here are some details that might be useful: The hotel is located in a very quiet area, just one block away from the "Museumplein" tram/bus station. You can pretty much walk anywhere in Amsterdam, but if you prefer to use public transportation, it's really easy to do from this hotel. There's no room service, but there's a big supermarket (that's open until 10pm) near that tram/bus station (so almost like across the street) and there are two vending machines at the hotel. Apart from food and drinks, these machines had 1/2/3 day transportation passes, disposable panchos, etc which came in VERY handy!! Breakfast at the hotel was rich and tasty. We didn't pay for breakfast when we booked (not knowing if it would be good or bad) but we ended up having breakfast every morning at the hotel. It was 7.5 euros (instead of 10) if you pay the night before. The room was small but clean and nicely decorated. No weird smells or stains! The bathroom was also very clean. We had one problem with the shower though. The glass shower cabin door didn't have that silicone thing on the bottom so water would flow into the bathroom, but we stopped it with a towel. Another minor criticism can be the poor sound insulation. We heard every shower and every flush from our upstair neighbors. But besides that it was really quiet. So overall, we had a very pleasant stay!
