I recently stayed at Hôtel Littéraire Marcel Aymé, BW Premier Collection in Paris, and while the staff was truly outstanding, my experience was unfortunately marred by a significant issue. There was a strange noise coming from the walls. I'm assuming it had to do with the water system and it made getting a restful night’s sleep nearly impossible. I mentioned this to the concierge, but all I received was a 30 minute late checkout as compensation.
I spent two nights tossing and turning due to the noise, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, I found the rooms to be quite small and the shower was really cramped. The beds creaked a lot, which didn’t help either!
On the positive side, the hotel does excel in cleanliness and location, and the staff is genuinely helpful and friendly. While I believe those aspects deserve praise, the overall experience felt more in line with a 2 or 3-star rating because of the noise and room size. If they could address these issues, it would certainly enhance the stay for future guests!
