The hotel staff is racially bias and incredibly rude. I was a black female guest. I was asked if I was a guest by one of the hotel staff after he watched me leave the hotel from my second floor room and come back from the mini mart. Even though the hotel has a copy of my ID, the staff member justified his behavior after mentioning he wasn’t there to check me in the day before. I asked why he was asking me and he responded with, ‘we ask all guests including ones that staff are confused by.’ He tried to stop me from reentering the dining area to talk to four men sitting in the corner by telling me it was closed while other guests were sitting having breakfast. I asked four men if they had been asked the same question by that same staff member or other hotel staff, they answered, ‘no.’ I don’t think you have to guess what race most of these men were. Iykyk.
The room looked nothing like the images on the website. There’s no soft lighting in the room, it is all bright, grey, overhead lighting. You’re either going to sleep, or not. The chair in the corner is torn up reminiscent of a motel, with single long hairs found on it and all over the room. and it was sticky……? The sheets are dirty and they do not wash them. After requesting housekeeping and all new bedding, they put the same bedding back on the mattress. Please see photo.
Do not stay here. I don’t know what’s worse, the room, the amount of money this experience costs, or the micro aggression.
