The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived utterly exhausted and my French is not good. They were lovely to me, offered me pastry, and kindly spoke with me in English. The elevator is tiny, but the bed in the room was larger than our queen-size bed at home and the shower was very nice. I’m 5’8” and my partner is 6’2” and a former college football player. We were quite comfortable. My partner joined me later and the front desk had no trouble meeting him and giving him the key, as I was at a work event. They welcome diverse couples (unlike some locations in the US). The breakfast area is in the basement and can be slightly crowded, but it’s Paris! We enjoyed the coffees, teas, yogurt, pastries, meats, cheeses, beans, sausages, fruit and vegetables, gravlax, crepes, jams. They also have pancakes and cereal for kids, breads and cakes, and eggs. The room was quiet and dark. I slept great! The whole place was clean and is on a great street with shops, cafes, grocery stores. And you can walk to the Eiffel Tower. I would stay there again.
