Just what we needed
We needed a place for the night to sleep on our cross country road trip. This was a very remote, tidy boutique style motel a short distance from Palm Springs. We had the smallest room on site which was still a good size, with a comfy king bed, lounge chairs, cool AC and large windows, and more private than the larger rooms facing the pool. The mountain view in the morning was gorgeous. There is a small heater in the bathroom which warms the toilet seat, as a bonus.
Bonus points for room being clean, and very pet friendly property with a pet relief area, cute fire put area with string lights, and gated pool area. The surrounding area was residential which made walking the pup easy. Note that this is the desert, which is mostly brambly shrubs, not grassy, so tread with caution in unpaved areas. We also loved the heated pool and hot tub which were spotlessly clean.
Docked a star because it took several minutes for the hot water to come out of the shower, but when it did, it was VERY hot. Also, I had a mild allergic reaction to the softener they use on their very fluffy towels. Otherwise, it was a restful and restorative stay with good sheets, good pillows, and two blocks from a lovely breakfast cafe (Azure Palms Cafe). Would stay again.
