Due to pouring rain we cut short our stroll along the seafront and headed back to the car park, check in is 4pm so I called the Guest house to see if we could have an early check-in. The owner said yes our room was ready and we could check-in early. On arrival were were asked if would like breakfast in the morning for £5pp, 2 breakfasts were duly ordered. (Cooked breakfast menu given and you tick what you want) We were given two keys one for the front door and one for our (room 9) this was at the top of the house and after negotiating a narrow staircase with our luggage we opened the door to our room, the room was quite spacious, the shower room was clean but the shower was very small and the folding door couldn’t be fully opened without turning the shower on. (strange shower tap set up) the water pressure was poor in the shower. The room had a fridge in a cupboard with two complimentary bottles of water. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate and two packs of 3 biscuits adorned a tea tray with a kettle. Unfortunately it was impossible to fill the kettle from the extremely shallow basin so the teacups were used to fill the kettle. The room was very warm but a fan is supplied, even with it on full I opened the bathroom window and door and the bedroom window to try and cool the room. The bed was adequate. Breakfast was a choice of cereal and a full English, choice of tea or coffee and orange juice and toast with a choice of jams and marmalade. Well worth the £5. £60pn a wee bit dear?
