Beautiful Lodge & Great People!
Our stay at the Arenal Roca Lodge was great. Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. The view out the window was incredible, although the weather hindered our view for much of the stay. Randy at the front desk was incredibly helpful and very kind, he made our stay that much better. The breakfast in the morning was also very good, and everyone cooking/serving was very kind.

8/10 Very good

Good volcano views (weather permitting).
We had the farthest room from reception and main road and we had no problem with traffic noise. Breakfast room sits around 20 and can get crowded especially since most tours start at the same time. Our stay was short but pleasant.

This property has the best views of the Arenal Volcano from the room and anywhere from the property. The front desk was very helpful with our check-in and check-out, they also provided us extra blankets in moments time. They also showed us frogs right in the property which you usually see in tours by the guides. It was right in between the thermals for a day pass and La Fortuna which was convenient for food and tours.

It’s a great value with best and unobstructed Arenal volcano view for sure. Saw lots of hummingbirds around the property. Basic breakfast but tasted really good. I would recommend this place for those who want to be close to nature.

Great service, spacious rooms, amazing views
Great option with great views of the volcano, excellent location, in between the national park and the town of La Fortuna. The hotel offers breakfast, which was included on our rate, and also other meals (for a price). Rooms are spacious and clean, views of the volcano are great, highly recommended property.

Great option with great staff and great views
Great option, with amazing views of the Arenal Volcano, and with easy access (by car) to both the National Park, the town of La Fortuna, and all other attractions in the area. Staff is helpfull, breakfast is a plus. All rooms face directly the volcano, and you will feel that there is nothing in between you and the mountain.

A room with a magnificent view. It was amazing to wake up to Arenal volcano each morning. The staff were attentive and the Security guy gave us a night tour of the gardens where we could spot different varieties of frogs and birds. Great traditional breakfast also and good location to get to hot springs and other attractions and excursions by car.

Lots of value for the cost!!! Super clean, spacious, and comfortable cabins. They have an amazing view of the volcano from the big windows. All the staff was super attentive and kind. We paid almost four times as much for a hotel room that wasn’t as nice before coming here. We wish we would’ve found them sooner! We will highly recommend them to friends and family.

Pro: Absolutely stunning view of the volcano. Best view I ever had from a hotel. The view itself is worth the trip to Costa Rica. The property is also surrounded by a small pond where we saw many birds. Con: Ants in the room. It is unavoidable to be in true nature like this. Pro for some people and con for others: Birds jumping and moving and chirping on the wooden roof was very noticeable from inside. I like it a lot but some might find it distracting.

HONEST REVIEW‼️ My two best friends and I, all aged 20 and 21, stayed here for two nights and have nothing but good things to say about this place. We were skeptical about booking this place due to it having a lower number of reviews than other places, but we hit the JACKPOT!! It was very close to the free hot springs, and only a short drive into town! The property was beautiful and you could see the volcano from every bungalow! The air conditioning cooled the entire place very quickly, and the free breakfast was INCREDIBLE!! The staff were very accommodating and also are available to help book adventures and such! They even have some discounted tickets to some places. The pool was being cleaned during our stay, so we did not get to use it, but we didnt even need to! There is a free swimming hole close to town with rope swings and small cliff jumps that is worth checking out! If you are looking for something affordable, convenient, and non-resort, look no further than Arenal Roca Lodge! We wish we stayed longer! Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Will be coming back!

Disappointed
Lots of ants in the bedroom. Too close to the road so it was very loud and hard to sleep. Although I asked several times for some issues to be resolved, no one followed through!
