Like being in a castle in the forest
We celebrated our anniversary with a 2 night staycation; the whole point was to just hang out in the room together. It was a beautiful, comfortable room, we really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The decor is wonderful - every detail is well thought out and beautifully executed; the interiors are a perfect updated take on the Arts and Crafts design period. We had a corner room with two views on the adjacent parkland and river. It felt like being in the country; even the rumble of the subway crossing the bridge was soothing, as it was just a low, train noise.
The food is good quality, tasty, and at about the price point you would expect for this kind of place - not cheap but not expensive for what it is. We ordered room service; the room service menu is more limited than the restaurant menu, but we were happy with the selection.
All of the staff were friendly and nice, and the room was very clean and very well maintained.
