My initial reservation with Joel and then Sarah who was the night auditor at Cartier was amazing. I made an error with my stay dates and Sarah was awesome. Once i arrived i was sent to a deluxe queen room rather than the Superior room I signed up for. The room was trash! This was not my first stay at Cartier and the room was small, you walk right into a kitchen that is not sectioned off and there was an ajoining room (never experienced that with previous visits) and the lock on that door did not work. When i called front desk I continued to get the same funky attitude from Dafnie thst i got during my check in, but the maintenance man was super nice and he came up and verified with Dafnie thst the door was broken. He tried to get her to get me a other room, prefera ly a Superior room which is what i ordered in the firet place. I could tell he was getting some pushback from her over the phone so he said he would go downstairs and talk to her in person. About 20 minutes went by and i got a call from the her saying they had anothee room for me. She then asked if i "made any mess" in the room and i let her know i sat on the couch and didnt even get my coat off. She then asked "did you go to the bathroom??" At that point i just laughed hung up and went and got my key for my new room. That room was what i expected and save for a disgustingly dirty tea kettle it was excellent and my gf and i had an excellent stay. Thank you to the maintenance man for saving the day!
