My first time at S Hotel and it was disappointing. I want to understand that it is considered a “boutique” hotel but it did not give what I needed it to give.
We arrived to the Hotel with our luggage in hand all the way to front desk, yes, you heard that right. We did not get greeted with a cold towel and/or a welcome drink. No one to help us with our luggage either. At Check in, we were upgraded because of my VIP Access.
Food experience, we were there for 2 full night and wanted to experience 2 of 3 of their restaurants. However, only 1 restaurant a night opened per night, we did not have a choice which restaurant to eat. JAMRock, was delicious. The seafood restaurant, which we did not want to even try but didn’t have a choice because Roots was closed, was disappointing. We did not like food whatsoever.
At JAMRock the lobster and ribeye was delicious.
Monday morning, we attempted to go to the pool in the roof and the staff said it was closed off for another guest. So we had no other choice but to go to the main pool that was filled with dead ants and bees. When we complained, the pool attendant went over to clean.
Now for my staff experience, most of the staff were friendly, however, I did have a run in with a lady who was covering the regular lady at the cafe. Attitude was awful. I had asked if they had beef pattys and she pointed over to the labels and said “does it say on the labels if there is” Honestly, I was ready to go back to Secrets after the first night.
