We stayed at the Hampton Inn at Times Square, New York, with our family of four for six nights. The check-in process was flawless. We arrived around 1 PM and were advised to come back in two or three hours, so we dropped off our bags and went for a walk.
The hotel's prime location in the heart of Times Square is very convenient and central. However, beyond the location, it’s challenging to find positive aspects to mention.
The main issue is the hotel's extreme overcrowding, making it feel like a bustling shopping center. There are a limited number of elevators, resulting in long wait times. I understand that being downtown means space is limited, so the rooms are quite tight so arrange yourself accordingly.
Breakfast was another challenge. If you manage to find a seat, you’re very lucky. Despite this, the breakfast offerings are not very impressive. If breakfast is not included in your stay, I recommend eating outside to avoid the elevator waits and the hassle of finding a spot.
In summary, the hotel has a fantastic location, but there is little else to commend.
