Disappointing Stay in Washington, D.C.
We booked this hotel in Washington for a family trip with the four of us. I thought it was in the city center, but we were not very pleased with its location. It's about a 30-45 minute walk to the White House. The only advantage is that Union Station is within walking distance, about 15 minutes away. There are no notable restaurants or shopping centers nearby. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. However, we needed a few printed documents, but there was no printer at the hotel. As a result, we had to go out and find a UPS store to get our work done. The so-called business center only had its name; there were no computers or printers. We didn't see the cleaning staff every day; our room was cleaned every other day. The breakfast was the usual inadequate service of Holiday Inn hotels. In short, for my next visit to Washington, D.C., I plan to book a more centrally located place, even if it costs a bit more.
