Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Avoid this hotel at all costs! Horrible experience from check-in to check-out. The rooms and bathrooms were filthy and smelled awful. We were three guests but only received two towels. When we asked for more, the staff was extremely rude. The photos on the website are completely misleading. The bed was uncomfortable and housekeeping didn’t even clean the room once. The bathroom was disgusting, full of cobwebs, and flooded every time we took a shower. There are cheaper hotels in the same area that are far superior. ¡Aléjate de este hotel! Una experiencia terrible desde el check-in hasta el check-out. Las habitaciones y los baños estaban sucios y con mal olor. Éramos tres personas y solo nos dieron dos toallas. Al pedir más, nos trataron con mucha grosería. Las fotos del sitio web no coinciden con la realidad. La cama era incómoda y ni siquiera limpiaban la habitación. Second worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

This hotel was a complete dump. I wish I looked at pictures and other reviews first. The only reason this isn’t 1 star all the way around is because the bed seemed clean, even though there were stains on the sheet. Everything was disgusting, worn down. There were holes in the walls, no bathroom exhaust fan—just a window with a huge broken screen, extremely thin walls where you could hear every other neighboring guest below and to the side of you, broken shutters so you had no privacy. The door weather stripping was old at the bottom, leaving a gap for noise, pest entry, and wind. There was black mold all around the shower and the water pressure was horrible. It’s like the never put a penny into the place. The rooms definitely do not look like the pictures the advertise. It wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but it takes second place.

Photos online do not reflect the actual rooms. Photos show laminate floors, clean and newly painted walls… the reality is there are scuffs and holes all over the walls, the floors were old, dirty brown carpet, beds were uncomfortable, an old shoe from a prior guest was sticking half way out from under our bed when we got there. Most annoying of all the neighbors were partying all night long. We couldn’t get a wink of sleep the entire 2 nights we were there. When talking with the hotel personnel it sounded like a common occurrence. If you want a quiet, peaceful and clean place to sleep, this is NOT it!

They did not specify that parking would be an additional $15 and it wasn’t guaranteed when you got there that it would be any available spots left to park. When we got up to the room eventually, the room smelled horrible from the bathroom. It smelled like it hadn’t been properly cleaned and did not look it either.

Cleaness

It was not as clean as we thought there was homeless people blocking the entrance and when we try to switch to another room they were both same, also had a funny smell and the wall where also dirty we couldnt handle the smell. We also found things in the refrigerador dried flowers and also that had another smell the room was prepared for us.

El hotel está muy por debajo de las expectativas, muchos pelos en toda la habitación y en las toallas “limpias”, la habitación huele muy mal, la zona no se siente muy segura por la noche, además de que se escucha mucho ruido. Tiene estacionamiento gratuito pero es muy limitado en espacios.

I don’t even know what to start start I made a reservation at the Del Mar hotel because I’m one of the ones that actually is going through the whole Altadena fires and I’ve lost my apartment. Must’ve lost my studio and I pretty much lost. I lost everything I had. I got Del Mar hotel because it looked like peaceful it was it was nice colors. It was beautiful, but they didn’t get there. it’s not what they were promoting on the ad all the walls were scratched needed bad paint jobs the there was a bullet hole in the wall the AC unit was completely dirty. It had dust of all kinds and mold, and it didn’t even have a cover on the AC. The bed was disgustingly dirty it stains. I don’t even know where they came from. There was a kind of wrapper in one of the drawers, and by the way, two of the dressers did not have drawers. It was just it was just a dresser with the missing drawers. They didn’t bother to cover it the chair wasn’t a desk was falling apart. The plugs were not working. The TV kept going off and on the restroom, and this is where I want to complain, the restroom had mold mildew. The exhaust fan was about to collide. It was falling apart as well. The shower rod was completely tarnished. It wasn’t even clean. There were spiders coming out of the drain. The whole apartment was completely dirty. the doors were just stain with residue of dirt. I’m not trying to complain however, understand my point of where I’m coming from I’ve lost everything that I’ve had right now and I want

Not as advertised.

The pictures shown are completely different from the room irl, the bathroom is definitely not the same and overall is dirty, there was graffiti over the bed, the walls were peeling and the AC smells, looks like maintenance is pretty much inexistent, the hair dryer is a fire hazard that has been "fixed" with electrical tape so if you touch it with wet hands you may be in for shock treatment. The description reads "no deposit required" but once you go to check in there's a printed sign that states "MANDATORY $100 DEPOSIT" and the night receptionist was rude about it, he said unless we paid the deposit we were not getting the room and has to be cash, but when I went to check out the next morning I was asked if I had given my deposit credit or cash, which made no sense whatsoever and I had to remind the receptionist to give my deposit back.
Taping the electrical cord with electrical tape is a fire hazard and a shock hazard if you touch it with wet hands

La habitación estaba comoda, ordena y limpia, con facil acceso para ir a pie a lugares de comida y del paseo a la fama muy cerca, esta promedio 15 mnts o un poco mas de Estudio Universal en carro, si no te gusta el ruido de la calle al dormir no te lo recomiendo porque esta cerca de una calle principal y se escucha mucho en la madrugada el sonido de los autos, el personal de limpieza amable y respetuosas al realizarla, primero preguntaron antes de entrar. Todo muy comodo, y el precio para la fecha es accesible. En elnestado abundan los indigentes asi que se veran por muchos lugares, en general estuvo bien.
