Rude Staff & Didn't get the room that we paid for
The hotel itself is very beautiful and confortable. Located right opposite the Parliament Building which makes great views at night time with all the lights of Danube River. The room we were staying was nice and comfortable.
However, I think there is problem about the personnel and maintanance service. On the second night of our stay, the toilet blocked. The staff told us that, they cannot fix the toilet until monday(it was sunday). So they offered a room change. But there is only basement floor room available. We have already paid extra fora guranteed first floor rooms. They refused to make a refund for us since we booked via Hotels.com
We paid much more than we should for a basement floor, very very small windows/dark room. IN return they offered us a free breakfast. we normally dont like to have breakfast. Breakfast costs around 30 Euros per room which is totally useless for us. But the hotel did not do anything to cover their fault and we had to stay on the basement floor.
Overall the hotel has ruined our stay and I am very dissappointed the way the staff has comunicated with us. The girl at the reception desk was unfriendly and said thing like " you dont understand, " ı have nothing to do", "I am the only person in charge and I wont make you a refund",etc.
Although I like the location and the view of the hotel, I wound not return this hotel. Because they took a money they did not deserve.
Dont go this place. There are betters on the Danube River.
