A Perfect Bar Harbor Escape Our stay at Cleftstone Inn was absolutely enchanting. The historic charm of the property, paired with its warm, welcoming atmosphere, made us feel instantly at home. Our room was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches that showed true care for guests. Breakfast each morning was a delight, fresh, flavorful, and served with genuine hospitality. The location was ideal for exploring Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor, yet wonderfully peaceful at night. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and already dreaming of our return.

Staff was very friendly, rooms are clean, and a/c is cold. Location is a quick 5 min drive from the main harbor area. My car got attacked by seagulls when parked at the harbor and the receptionist kindly let me use a hose to wash off my car before the droppings dried.

My husband and I stumbled upon this lovely B&B after roughing it in the Acadia woods. It was a welcome respite. Thoughtfully appointee rooms, delicious breakfast and incredible staff. We enjoyed chatting with Steffan and learning about the history of the Inn. Truly a charming place. It was so charming we decided to stay a 2nd night (totally impromptu). What a special place!

This was a perfect place to explore, without the hubbub of being downtown. Every person who works here has a smiling face, the woman even called me to make sure I was ok because I hadn’t checked in by 7:45 PM (though the check-in is open till 10 PM). This made me smile after for a long day in the car, and started off my stay on a good foot. Breakfast was yummy, my room was perfect, a really great night sleep. I appreciate the windows opened in the hotel, I would choose my room again in a heartbeat (9) with the only downside being the TV should really be on a swivel as it’s awkwardly mounted flat above a fireplace I would go here in a heartbeat again, I will recommend it to my family

Beautiful renovated mansion. We stayed in the suite on the 3rd floor which had been the attic. The bathroom was gorgeous and the suite actually consisted of 4 small connected rooms. So much space, so many adorable windows and an absolutely amazing shower.

Couple's Trip to Maine, Wonderful place and people

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the innkeeper, Steffan. What an amazing guy! Immediately made us feel welcomed and used his knowledge of the area to give us some great tips. Throughout the weekend, he and the staff working at Cleftstone were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room and its specially made wallpaper was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast served each morning was the perfect size and delicious both days. Although traveling from Boston can be a bit of a long drive, staying at the Cleftstone made the journey worth it. Thanks to Steffan and all the staff who work there for brilliant stay in Bar Harbor!
