Okay, if you want a place to lay your head, and you don't care that you have to speak up if you want your room even (partially) cleaned, or a baseline breakfast (waffles, pancakes, a piece of fruit, yogurt, cereal, you'll be fine.
But the hospitality staff EXPECTS a tip - ours left an ENVELOPE next to the TV titled, "housekeeping".
1. You make an hourly wage.
2. Actually do your job to completion - left the bed messy, but replaced the towels and toiletries, took out trash...didn't vacuum.
