I got scammed....
I was charged incorrectly. I arrived late but notified the hotel of this information since I was coming from North Carolina. I was still charge an one night "cancellation" fee for the three rooms that I had booked. I was told once I arrived at the hotel that because they had already canceled my room and had paid the cancelation fee, that I would need to rebook all 3 rooms again. This occurred around 4am on March 2, 2025. I was exhausted and ready to go to sleep. The lady at the lobby advised me that in the morning that I could come down and get it taken care of. That next morning I was told I needed to receive a refund for the cancellation from Expedia even though I chose the reserve now, pay later option. I stayed at the property the two nights and end up paying over $1000 but only receive 1 room. I'm very upset and frustrated that I paid triple the amount of the cost of my initial stay.
