Highly recommend this place to people who are adventurous. Vicky and Mitch are two amazing couple that make your stay so much fun and wonderful.

The Place at Evoramonte is now my new favorite place to stay. The property is gorgeous! The rooms are so comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The views from the room, terraces, and patio are absolutely breathtaking. Vicki and Mitch were the nicest hosts, from the moment we arrived to the time we had to head home. We were greeted as we drove up, Mitch brought up our luggage and Vicki showed us around our room, the various seating areas throughout the house, the patio, and the cafe. We had breakfast there both mornings that we were there and dinner one night. The food was delicious and I was so surprised to learn that they had gluten-free bread since I have an allergy, this was so unexpected, but SO APPRECIATED! If you have any food allergies, be sure to let them know when you make your reservation (just to be sure that they know ahead of time). If you're planning a trip to Evora or that area, stay in Evoramonte and avoid all the crowds.

Best stay

Fantastic stay. Good to get off the main stream and enjoy the quiet with amazing home cooking. Stay here could not have been better. Everyone should take the opportunity.

Wonderful place!

Vicki and Mitch are amazing hosts! So friendly and helpful, they gave wonderful recommendations for things to do and see as well as places to eat. They will also cook you dinner if you want to stay in for the night. (Mitch does a great job with both breakfast and dinner!) The hotel itself is adorable and I loved being enclosed inside the castle walls and right next to the castle, a very unique experience. Our room was quite large with an amazing view, be sure to get a room with a balcony if you can but don’t worry if you can’t, there is also a roof top terrace for everyone to enjoy! There is so much to experience in this area, I would definitely come back here again and stay longer!

The owners, Vicki and Mitch, were genuinely warm and welcoming. They always asked if there was anything we needed. They were wonderful to chat with and the food was great. They give you a list of restaurants in the area, but we ate dinner there both nights and were not dissapointed. Best hamburger I have ever had and you have to try the brownie. And a beautiful wine selection. The views from their large terrace were outstanding. Their place was set inside the outer walls of a castle that was well worth seeing. You need a car or taxi to get around, but there is so much to do in the surrounding towns that are very close by. We highly recommend staying here.

Voltamos para casa renovados, após a nossa estada no The Place at Evoramonte. Ambiente confortável, aconchegante. Vista belíssima. Boa comida e bons vinhos. Gorgeous view!!!! Very warm and friendly hosts! Would recommend this for anyone wanting to enjoy the area! Very unique accommodations, though a bit small. The only slight disappointment was the balcony was not accessible directly from our room and was shared with another guest. When we booked through Expedia it seems this was not made clear. We give an absolute 5 star rating to the wonderful hosts!!!

We stayed at the Place at Evoramonte in mid October and it was a gem to say the least! The hosts Vicki and Mitch are top notch and are so warm and welcoming. The location at the top of mountain beside a castle, in a historic village surrounded by medieval walls with stunning views and in prime distance from many attractions and just can't be beat! We loved our stay here and would love to come back again! We had a large veranda with our suite and had pre dinner drinks overlooking the valley and watched the sun go down and even managed to catch a griffin vulture soaring over the valley. Dinner from the restaurant did not disappoint and we even had our own private dinner on the patio. Breakfast was classic european style and very good. Really can't say enough good things about this place and really hope to make it back there!

recomendo ver o pôr do sol com o Alentejo a perder de vista e desfrutar de uma noite estrelada! aproveitar o silêncio da natureza. Os quartos são confortáveis e limpos, e o pequeno almoço tem produtos bons e frescos. A destacar a simpatia do staff, em particular da Vicki que foi incansável

Vicki and Mitch were fantastic hosts going way out of the way to assist us in visiting a local beekeeper in the area, providing advice on what to see and do and assisting in findind a restuarant for the evening that their's was closed. You could not ask for a more beautiful location and besides the quiet area with a 180 degree plus view, the sunsets were fabulous. Most comfortable beds we experienced. Would definately stay again and have already recommended them to friends.

The place at Evoramonte is a magic place. The host is a sweet and helpful person, the room and the breakfast were great (I have to eat gluten free and I found specific products for me), but the most beautiful thing was the amazing view from the terraces of the building at sunset...absolutely more incredible than we aspected!

Love this place .Set on top of a hill just below a castle in a small village .Has panoramic views from your terrace and is beautifully renovated .The hosts Vicky and Mitch are amazing .Great place to just relax and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.

Spectacular - A MUST!

The Place at Evoramonte was incredible. Vicky the owner was so helpful, she really went above and beyond. The hotel room was very clean and excellently blended modern touches with historic features. The view from the roof terrace was breathtaking. While we were only there for one night, Vicky has drawn up a detailed map of everything there is to do in the surrounding area and we can't wait to come back and stay for much longer in the future!

Perfect day with my husband

Fomos recebidos por um casal muito simpatico. O quarto eh aconchegante e o banheiro eh UAU!! super limpo. Muitas toalhas e papel. Deixou para gente um kit de banho maravilhoso. A ducha era perfeita. O local lindo!! Muito silencioso a vista eh perfeita!! Otimo local pra namorar!!

The Place is a beautiful guesthouse located above a restaurant. The room was great with a modern bathroom. The views of the rolling hills and castle were indescribable. Definitely recommend staying here!
