Very unbalinese attitude from the hotel eg 1. Kettle in the bedroom with coffe and tea supplied but no milk or powdered milk-if you wanted milk they charged you the same price as a cup of tea or coffee from the restaurant. 2. Unhelpful reception staff with no idea what there is to do locally. 3. Plenty of waiters around trying to sell drinks during ordinary hours-they disappeared during happy hour. 4. I was leaving the hotel at 7:30am so settled up my bill at 10pm the night before. They insisted on coming straight round and emptying the minibar and taking away with them, making me feel untrustworthy and like a thief: they had an impression of my credit card so why do it? 5. When I settled up my bill I paid in cash. They did not have the correct change to give me and insisted that it was me that should be shortchanged-ridiculous. 6.they insist there are an eco friendly hotel yet they are perfectly happy to allow smoking in the restaurant-which May be legal in Bali but it is frankly a disgusting habit and shouldn’t be allowed in restaurants out of courtesy to the vast majority of clients, who don’t smoke.
