The hotel is very comfortable and well located close to the temples. The grounds were well kept and looked really nice. The food at the restaurant and at breakfast was wonderful and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, but unfortunately no ventilation so the bathroom was damp all night. The staff were all great and really friendly.
The negative side was when we rented the e-bikes from the hotel, we were suddenly quoted 50% extra since we (2 peope) were going to ride on the same bike. There really was no reason for that.
Another issue we came against often during our trip, was the price of local transport. Having taken taxis in Yangon and knowing the cost of rides, the prices that we were charged in Bagan for an hour's taxi ride were 5-6x the price for the corresponding time in Yangon. It's not necessarily the hotel's fault, they probably have no way around the issue and the prices are controlled by the local 'cartel'. Something to be aware of.
