We were part of a large group who booked for a hockey tournament. I thought for sure having an 8.5 rating it would be top notch. I was mistaken.
The positives
1. The breakfast buffet and morning staff were amazing.
2. The water pressure
3. The water bottle refill area a bonus.
Negatives
1. The side stairwell smelled like decaying fried fish
2. The room smelt just as bad thankfully we brought room deodorizers.
3. The floor shook when walking across the room, causing the furniture to rattle and the hangers to shake in the closet.
4. The vanity mirror light did not work.
5. The sofa, bed mattress, there are no words to describe how disgusting it was. The material was shredded. There were holes at the top, And what appeared to be a bloodstain in the centre of the mattress.
6. The ice machine on the second floor did not work
7. The pool just miraculously broke down the very next day of our arrival, but was up and running upon our departure.
8. There was no area Available for group gatherings.
9. Even though we took up the majority of one hallway, the teenage girls were sitting outside of our rooms in the middle of the afternoon, laughing and talking, not running around hysterically, Not being disrespectful and not causing mayhem were told they were not allowed to loiter in the halls, instead told to go outside to socialize in a shady industrial area.
I paid for premium room. I’d hate to see what a standard room looks like.
