The cabin itself was nice and affordable, but unfortunately it was poorly maintained and several of the listed amenities were not available during our stay. The outdoor area was covered in leaves with no outdoor lighting in the backyard, making it difficult to comfortably enjoy the space. Inside, we noticed cobwebs throughout the cabin, including between the couch cushions, in the sink, shower, and around the lights. The blankets also had a strong stored/musty smell.
More importantly, we had no hot water, working stove/oven, or usable WiFi during our entire stay. Since it was a cold and rainy weekend, not having hot water was especially disappointing. We had also purchased groceries beforehand specifically because a fully working stove was listed, but neither the stove nor oven would turn on. The WiFi connected but showed “no internet,” which also made the projector unusable as well as any personal electronic.
We tried calling and messaging the host for assistance but were only met with an automated AI service that said an agent would contact us. Unfortunately, we never heard from anyone throughout our stay. While the cabin may be affordable, guests are still paying for the amenities and services advertised, and going an entire stay without hot water, WiFi, or a working stove made the experience disappointing.
