First the good...The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Check in was easy. Parking was great and secured in gated lot. The hotel was an easy walk to the falls. Breakfast was surprisingly good. A lot of options including waffles, french toast, tasty omlets, delicious fried potatoes and a lot of different condiments like whipped cream, nutella, and different berry syrups.
The bad.... our room was awful. The air conditioner was mounted to the ceiling along with rusted pipes, and would randomly buzz super loud for 5 or so minutes at a time. It made for a rough nights sleep due to its sporadic and loud startling noise. There was a large blob of (im hoping food) splattered on the wall. The bathroom was dirty and had hair on the floors. The wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and the setup of furniture and how the doors swung made it feel clustered. To the hotel staffs credit, we did not complain, so we never gave them a chance to fix it. We just arent complainers. I feel like this was probably a really nice hotel at one time but felt run down and uncared for. Sadly that seems to be the theme of all the businesses in that area. Felt like the run down areas of Detroit. "The slums". Id recommend staying on the Canadian side of the Falls and just visiting the US side for a few hours.
