We usually try to reserve a condo for several nights right on the beach with our extended family, but this time it was just me and my 2 girls (ages 7 and 10) on a last-minute trip (I booked "on a whim" just 1 week prior). I quickly chose this hotel off Hotels.com because it was reasonably priced, had complimentary breakfast, only about 13-minute drive to Whitecap Beach, and I was needing something clean and comfortable (sometimes the hotels right on the island are older and have bugs or other maintenance problems, etc., so I didn't mind being a bit further from the beach this time). Rosie at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The other employees I interacted with when I had questions were also helpful. I felt safe during all times of my stay. If I had to list any complaints, it would have to do with the noise coming from the cars/trucks on the highway and nearby gas station at night - earplugs helped - and of course this is no fault of the hotel's. If I ever stayed here again, I would request a room on the opposite side from the highway. Other than that, my girls and I were very pleased!
