NO PRIVACY but ok if you don't care about that
BATHROOM AND SHOWER IN THE ROOM HAVE TRANSPARENT DOORS, SO YOU CAN SEE RIGHT INTO THE BATHROOM/SHOWER. We were shocked by this and the hotel staff claimed that no one else had ever complained about it...then proceeded to tell us that people are usually satisfied when the hotel sends extra sheets to cover the bathroom and shower doors. We did that, but then the housekeeper took the sheets and we had to request a second set. The hotel staff told us that all rooms in the hotel have this feature, so it's probably worth avoiding if you like privacy.
Other than that, though, the hotel is fine for what you pay relative to other hotels in Brooklyn. The rooms are tiny and there is no desk/table, but they are comfortable and clean. The hotel has a sort of bar vibe with loud music and dark lighting in all public spaces, and there are often people coming in and out for the rooftop bar and nightclub next door...probably not ideal for a family vacation. The elevators are very slow, and you might have to wait in line to access them.
You have to directly request housekeeping service. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, though, and we had a pleasant time overall.
