Convenient Hotel across Hakodate JR station
The hotel was conveniently situated across the Hakodate JR station. The hotel is also adjacent to the tram station at the Hakodate JR station, so that made it easy to get around the city. It was also possible to walk to the morning market and several nearby ramen and izakaya joints, making the hotel very central.
The hotel also provided complimentary breakfast, which was appreciated. There was a wide variety of dishes available, including both Japanese and western. It could get busy during peak times. The free beverage station for coffee and hot water and cold water from 1400 to 2400 was also a great plus.
The room itself was standard in terms of size for Japan. It was comfortable but I did not enjoy the bed. The bed seemed to not give me enough support for my back and the pillow didn't give me enough support for my neck. I usually don't write about the bed but I found it hard to sleep.
Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful The location of the hotel is super convenient and would recommend to people who are not as picky as me about beds.
