Decent for the price and location
The Morgan is a decent hotel in the San Simeon area, just minutes away from Hearst castle and Cambria. I thought the check in and out process was easy. The beds were comfortable enough, and it was clean enough.
I would say though this is not "boutique" by any stretch of the imagination. I've stayed in actual boutique hotels, this is basically like a Hampton Inn. There is nothing boutique about it. Skip the breakfast (if you can call it that?) here and walk down to the Cavalier (they do a great breakfast!).
As for the room itself- just standard. I did like that the chairs were covered so maybe they actually wash the covers (they looked pretty clean). I'm not sure how this place would honestly be in the summer. It does have windows, but San Simeon can get hot and there was no air conditioning in our room.
