We arrived at 3:00pm which is the agreed check in time. Only to be told that a guest had been ill in the room and that the room wasn’t ready. We were offered a downgrade or somewhere to wait in the meanwhile.
While we waited around the pool for a number of hours it because apparent that a number of guest had been told the same “story”.
Our room was finally available to access at 7:00pm.
No offer of compensation, curtesy drinks… nothing!
I was staying at the hotel with my dad, spending some quality time together since I lost my mother, his wife of over 40 years just a few months prior.
So to say it’s left me feeling disappointed is an understatement.
Sad really because the location, room and some of the staff were amazing. I’d guess the management a probably running the hotel short staffed.
