It’s ok
The check-in process was slow, with poor communication and a lack of organization among staff. The site is pleasant, and the decor adds a modern touch to a structure showing its age.
There were some delays in fulfilling requests, but the dining experience was excellent—varied, delicious, and well-prepared. The kitchen team was numerous and available, with special mention to sous-chef Deepuk, who was particularly attentive.
Overall, the weekend was average—hotel service was lacking, but the dining was a highlight. Many staff members seemed disengaged, spending time chatting or on their phones.
At the nautical center, four or five employees were inside, yet no one was at the counter to assist guests. We had to call someone over for service. Despite the number of staff, poor task distribution complicated rather than improved service.
Check-out was equally disappointing. No one took the time to thank us or ask about our stay. Instead, we were sent to a closed office where an employee processed the bill and said goodbye without warmth.
Fortunately, the porter made up for this lack of hospitality. He was attentive and professional, ensuring a more pleasant departure.
Given the LUX brand’s reputation, I expected a better hotel experience. Fortunately, the food quality made up for some of the shortcomings.
