Underwhelming
We stayed at the Intercontinental Sorrento for two nights and were initially told over the phone that we’d receive an upgrade, but upon arrival, we were given the room we originally booked. The Alfredo/patio area was spacious, but with only one chair facing a fence, it felt poorly designed.
For $500+ per night, the room and breakfast options were underwhelming. The limited breakfast selection and average food quality did not justify the price. Additionally, the toilet flush button kept falling into the toilet, and while wine glasses were provided, there was no bottle opener in the room—small details that made the stay feel less refined than expected. On top of that, the curtain didn’t close completely, allowing a lot of light in and disrupting sleep, and the air conditioning vent was putrid.
Overall, the experience did not meet the premium standard we anticipated
