“Fully equipped kitchens” is debatable. There were no utensils, skillets, dishes, etc., in the room and I was told none were available when I checked in. Very disappointing since the whole reason I chose ESA was so I could prepare my own meals. Thanks to Rebecca (thank you, Rebecca!!), she was able to put together the things I needed to cook, minus a skillet. Skillets must be in high demand. The rooms were run down—kind of depressing. Free “grab and go” breakfast (and I used that term lightly) consisted mostly of packets of oatmeal, coffee, coffee mate, hot water, hot chocolate packets, and sweeteners. Anyone who has ever travelled the I-5 corridor or any other highway, knows that “free breakfast” consists of more than oatmeal packets. The door to my room was very hard to open—had to body tackle it each time I left and entered. The staff members were very, very nice—best part of the stay!—but I’ll skip this next time. The run-down rooms and common areas are too depressing. The hotel did seem to enforce their no smoking rules—people smoked outside—which was very nice. And, again, staff members were wonderful!!! Responsive, helpful, and caring.
