Overall a terrible experience and deserving of a full refund. Family of 5 traveling through area, made reservations months in advance for two rooms. Upon arrival were told our reservation was for one room. Then had to pay an additional fee of $16 per room for what was unclear. Desk clerk did not know fee specifics. Room 211 was unclean - door to AC controls fell off, sink had no stopper and backed up, there was a used bar of soap with hair left in the bathroom, the door was difficult it to open, carpet was stained, paint patches on walls were different color than original and there was a spider that crawled over our daughter the night. Took us 15 minutes to check in because clerk was either new or confused about the process. Had to explain our rez and reverify our info. We complained to the day clerk on checkout who deferred us to “the manager” to possibly apply a refund, but clerk had no authority herself. On the way out we noticed a dedicated parking spot reserved “for Police” next to the front door. A woman was sitting in a wheelchair near the entrance and a stumbling drunk was in the parking area. Finally, a car that looked abandoned was parked near the entrance. Our impression was this hotel might be a halfway house for rehabilitation or people navigating through the justice system. Completely unacceptable experience and an unclean, unprepared environment. We rate this a zero across the board.
