The room was kind of gross. There was chipped paint, rusted bars in the bathroom. There was no towel bar to hang a hand towel other than the rack above the toilet. No shelf at all in the shower, so we had to set our toiletry items on the floor of the shower. The shower water got warm but never hot. The walls in our room were pure white with zero art or wall-hangings, not even one framed painting or artwork to look at. On the plus side, the front staff was nice, breakfast was good, and I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. But overall I feel the room was way overpriced. We paid $819 for 3 nights which seemed outrageous for what we got. Maybe it’s justified because of the location, but still a disappointment, as I’ve stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels, and I’ve never seen one this run-down.
