The location is terrific. The hotel itself is fine, though needs to be updated and the room was nice. For the most part, though, the service and front-desk employees were bad. Particularly the woman running the desk the afternoon of Dec 22, 2024. Our key cards stopped working every morning even though we reserved and pre-paid for 3 days. Having to go to the desk for replacement cards every morning was annoying enough, but she acted like it was our fault and was visibly put out and rude that we were asking her to do something, to do her job; basically anything that wasn't playing around on her phone.
I also hate that the IHG customer service line tries to force you into joining their membership program, and essentially implies that even prepaid stays aren't guaranteed if you aren't a member. That's obnoxious.
