Bed Bugs
I recently stayed at Hillside Inn, and it was an absolute nightmare. When we entered our room, we were greeted by a strong musty smell and the distinct odor of bug spray. As if that wasn't bad enough, within an hour, we discovered bedbugs crawling out from the headboard and onto the sheets.
We informed the night clerk, who moved us to a different room, which took us hours to transfer all our belongings safely. To our shock, he admitted that the management is aware of these issues but still places guests in these affected rooms.
We checked several other rooms, and the situation was no better. There were blood and urine stains in nearly every room we inspected. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hygiene and management practices at this hotel.
I do not recommend staying at Hillside Inn.
