We stayed for 2 nights, on first impressions the outside looks a bit dated but reception looked more modern inside, check in was easy and the receptionist was polite and friendly
I’ll start with negatives first:
We booked a privilege room with lake view, I think calling it a lake view is a push as you could barely see it, the room was a bit old fashioned and there were burn marks on the carpet, the toilet roll holder was broken, hardly any tv channels worked, and the only plug socket by the bed didn’t work, the walls are thin and we could here the tv from the next room, the windows are single glazed and only one of these opened
We had a meal in the restaurant on the 2nd night and for the price would have expected a more, the manager I assume as he was the only one in a suit, had to find menus for us as he didn’t have any, and there was no drinks menu so has to ask the waitress what was available, we were not offered water even though other tables were, and the service was slow and staff not as helpful or friendly
Now for the positives:
All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman on reception on our 2nd night, who’s name I unfortunately didn’t get, but he could not do enough, he was great
The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and the staff were amazing
Even though I wasn’t impressed with the service and staff with our meal, the food was good
Overall staff were very good but a bit more TLC and modernisation needed elsewhere
