My sister checked into the SKYCITY hotel, but her room was assigned on the first floor. She requested to be moved to a higher floor, and the front desk staff told her that if she had booked directly with the hotel, she would have been assigned a higher floor. However, since she booked through Hotels.com, they couldn't change her room. Additionally, when she asked to borrow a wine opener, she was told that there was only one in the entire hotel, and the staff waited in her room until she opened the wine and then took it back. It is disappointing that the hotel didn't inform her about the limited availability of wine openers in advance and provided such unthoughtful service.
