I usually have nothing but nice things to say when I stay at the Hyatt Place, but I was disappointed with the service at this one. I stayed at a different Hyatt Place the previous night, but due to them not having availability for Saturday night, I had to switch hotels. I called this hotel to ask if they would happen to accommodate early check-in. They could not, which of course is within their right. I then asked if my room would be ready by check-in and the person on the phone assured me it would be. I get to the hotel at 4:30 and Rebeckah rudely told me my room was not ready and I needed to wait. She stated they were overbooked and I’m the only one with a queen bed so I will have to wait a bit longer. She was unapologetic and rude and I’ve honestly never been spoken to like that by a Hyatt Place employee especially when check in was at 3 and I arrived 90 mins past check in time to not have a room yet assigned to me. For my inconvenience, I was given a free glass of beer. I also left the hotel and when I came back I heard her complaining to another employee about another guest being upset their room was also not ready. “These people are so entitled,” I overheard her saying. The room was nice enough, but because of the customer service and also there not being a pool, I don’t think I will stay at this particular Hyatt Place again.
