The owner was present when I arrived and took my credit card. She never gave me a receipt. I was exhausted from the long drive and construction. I noticed later that night that the place was filthy. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, there was dirty carpet, mold on the shower curtains, dead bugs in the corners, and in the window opening, noisy. The next day, I worked at an art event and taught a class. Upon returning to the room, it was not cleaned up, trash still present, and no one emptied trash, nor made the bed. the frig was dripping near the freezer part a whole lot of water. Later that night, around 11 pm, the toilet began making loud bubbling noises and the water went up and down, and the drain in the shower emitted an odor. The woman who owned the place informed me on Friday upon arrival, that she was not around much. Dirty laundry, sheets, and bedding were piled up in a couple of bins outside. The place is atrocious. I went into the office Saturday after working all day, to try to talk to the owner. The young lady at the desk indicated the owner was not there and she did not know when she would return. I asked for a printed receipt and she gave one to me. $177.00 a night for this disaster. I indicated I wanted to talk to the owner and the young lady stated she would let her know and have her call me. The owner never called me. I want a full refund. There were no other rooms available in the area or I would have left. This will be dispute

We arrived it was a nice loacation surrounded by farms. The younger at the deak was extremely pleasant. I wanted to split payment and charged my card anyways and didnt know how to split payment or correct the mistake. The room was nice. The room was okay certain times the rooms smelled like a damp towel, half roll of toilet paper was left with no extra. Luckly we had our own. There was a number to call but just seemed inconvenient. Spiders are a thing in that room. I also had to kill an earwig. The floor in the bathroom looked moldy or wet from water damage. The AC/heater was extremely loud. The tv is next to the ac so at times you couldnt hear the tv because of the ac unit. I went to warm up some left over pizza and in the microwave was 2 moldy breakfast sandwiches left from previous guest. 8 or 9am went to drop the key and no one was available the office was closed. For 134.00 plus tax i say it wasnt worth it.

The office was closed when I checked out so I used the drop box. What I wanted to tell them is that I was not supplied with any towels! It was not a big deal, but I don't be charged extra for missing towels.

This was the cutest place! Very tidy and neat, very nice renovations of an old style motel. Loved it! It was very close the the Downtown area of Elk Rapids. Highly Recommend!!

It is a lovely inn located in the village of Elk Rapids. The management is friendly and attentive. Essential amenities were available to guests. The two stone fire pits were an excellent addition for guests to gather and unwind in the evening.

Cute motel, loks like they are trying to remodel it. Room with 1 queen bed was small, bathroom was tiny. I think they have a water softener system so be sure to nly use a tiny amount of shampoo! There were 2 new fire pits but no wood. We were told to go buy some. No ice machine either. There is a beach with a small section that was not private property, it was a 10 minute walk down a street. Oh, because its surrounded by Orchards. there are lots of fruit flies so keep your room door closed. Ask for a fruit fly trap for your room, they work!

So this is an old fashioned motel. Just like the ones we stayed at when I was a kid (I'm 65). It was close to where we needed to be. We stayed for 6 nights. Good things: -The room was clean -the beds were comfortable - the rooms had been recently "freshened up". The flooring was relatively new, as well as the tiling on the wall in the tub/shower. Old fashioned pink tub that looked great. - friendly greeting - when the hot water was working, it was nice and warm Now the bad: - I had to ask for anything we needed. Toilet paper (!), soap, shampoo, etc. - no one ever came in to empty trash, freshen up the room, vacuum, tidy beds, refill when we needed tp, towels, etc. I had to ask to have the trash cans emptied, and it STILL wasn't done. I had to put it outside the room for someone to pick it up. - towels were cheap, small, thin, and some were stained. There were a couple of dark towels that had bleach spots. - sometimes the water temperature wasn't consistent. Hot, then cold. They were probably doing laundry... For $300/night we should have had nice towels, trash taken out, stuff in our room refilled, and the room refreshed. And you shouldn't have to ASK for toilet paper! I've never stayed in a motel that didn't do those things. I wouldn't stay here again.
