Probably not a Second Stay
The atmosphere was nice inside, very elegant when walking in. The woman was very sweet to greet us every time we returned or wish us well when leaving. Valet was okay. They retrieved our car the best they could each time, given the busy area. I wish we got the text that our car was ready when we were going home. We never got a text. We had to constantly get up and check. The hotel location is great. It was in walking distance to every where we needed to go. At night the hotel is noisy. I don't know if it was neighbors or the staff, but it was close to the time staff would clean. A door kept slamming every 3min in our hallway while we were sleeping. This caused dogs to bark, which I had no idea the hotel allowed pets. I did expect at least some peace at night. I also did not expect the hall to smell of cigarettes, and then urine every time we returned to get to our room. Overall stay was poor vs the vibe in the lobby.

Hotel is a dump, find somewhere else.
This hotel is run down and in a crappy part of town. Lots of homeless and drug attics hanging around outside, hotel front desk staff was terrible and unprofessional at best. This hotel is a disgrace. Looks like Marriott bought an old run down hotel and slapped a little lipstick on the pig. Room condition is terrible, beat up, doors don’t close right, bathroom had hair in it, and so on. Avoid this place.

Fine for what it is.
My stay was fine. I had a windowless room which was less than ideal. The property is nice but could really use an update. My biggest complaint would be that my room wasn’t cleaned. They emptied my trash cans and picked up old towels but the bed wasn’t made, fresh towels weren’t brought.

No thanks
I suppose I was naive when I thought booking a higher rated hotel would result in better service. Joke's on me! We arrived at 5:30. Check in is at 4. Our room wasn't ready. Not a huge deal. They said it would be half an hour later, so we sat in the lounge to wait. Our room wasn't ready until nearly TWO HOURS LATER! With New Orleans being the ultimate destination of our road trip, that is a two hour loss of exploration time. The people at the desk laughed at us for our frustration and were very condescending, making our first impression of New Orleans incredibly negative. When we finally got into our room it was fine. Not awesome. I paid for the large King so we would have two city views. Do not be fooled by the words "French Quarter" in the title of this hotel. It is not, in fact, in the French Quarter, and you do not, in fact, see the charming views of the Quarter from any window. The room did not have a dresser so we stored our clothes in piles on the floor (???!!!) and the bathroom door was sliding frosted glass that did not lock (???!!!). The bed was just okay. We could feel (and hear) bed springs. It was nice that we could log into our own Netflix on the room TV. It was clean. The towels were big. The required valet parking was very expensive. We were in walking distance of Bourbon Street which was awesome, and we could easily catch the street car from where we were. Ultimately, New Orleans was amazing - this hotel was the only bad thing I have to say about it.
