The location is excellent for visiting NYC. The room was ok and was clean but not very roomy. It was good enough to sleep but not to linger for long, so if you tour all day its fine but not to stay for 1/2 day. I would recommend for a young single person not a family.

First thing first, they charge an extra 10 dollar per night when you check in. Then Very tiny and old room. Noisy window A/C unit.

Location is excellent and the staff is also amazing and super helpful. The only downside is the shared bathrooms, they urgently need renovation. The doora of the loo do not close. The bathrooms are terrifying.

I have stayed there many times before but this time they insisted on a $10 a night cash surcharge when none was mentioned in the Hotel.com reservation. This is so wrong. I think is very deceitful. I am trying to see if it is against the law.

Já sabia que seria banheiro compartilhado, mas não imaginava que só havia um banheiro por andar, com lugar para no máximo 3 pessoas pra tomar banho, e nesse banheiro só 2 espaços estavam funcionando, o lugar do vaso sanitário o mesmo problema, 3 lugares mas uma porta não tinha trava pra fechar, colchão terrível

A localização é excelente. Fica bem próximo do metrô Columbus Center, do Central Park e cerca de 2 Km está a Times Square.

Hôtel bien situé à proximité de Central park. installation sportive complète avec piscine et salle de musculation. Chambres spartiates mais correctes... En fonction des étages salles de bain collectives (style pension ou service militaire) ou individuelle propres.

This is a good hotel for the price. I stayed for a couple days by myself and had very little issues. The staff was nice and helpful with my couple of service demands. The only issue I had was that the showers oddly alternated between hot and cold water because the shower knob was a little flimsy. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to come to New York but is on a bit of a tighter budget.

This was my first stay and I really wanted it to work out. Unfortunately, I left after one night. In the room, someone had busted out one of the air conditioning accordion panels, in winter. I am assuming that someone did it to smoke but it was not caught by housekeeping or just not fixed. Two of the three bathroom stalls did not lock. The only one that did had a toilet paper dispenser so large it hit your legs. The showers have curtains that you can see through. They are not fully transparent but I did not want to shower there. The final straw was seeing a large (like two inch) insect in the bathroom. I am assuming it was a roach but I did not stick around to find out. I am generally not afraid of bugs (have spent a significant amount of time in Costa Rica) but together with everything else, I was out. I never got to the pool but be aware that you have to wear a swim cap. If you don't have one, they sell them for $20. I can say that the staff were nice. Overall, very disappointing.

I stay here a lot. It’s the Y, not the Ritz, so my expectation is never high. But it’s fine, clean enough. Usually the check-in security people are great. This time, they lost my driver’s license for a bit and the guard mistakenly thought I didn’t belong there and hassled me until he realized he was wrong. It’s New York.
