The Yellow - Hostel

This hostel has to be one of the nicest I’ve stayed in this year. Customer service was excellent, rooms were spacious (4 Bed room) close to Termini train station and everything else..

I stayed here the night before, and due to separate reservation, I had to checkout and check in again, but the staff were great. Baggage was kept for free until the next check in. My 6 bed dorm was very comfortable. Unlike the 4 bed dorm I was in, the bedroom was very clean and the shower had the proper door and the floor did not get flooded after the shower. The bed did shake, but was better, with a light and a electric outlet by each bed.

The location was about 7 min from the train station. Not too crowded, but I felt safe walking around. The staff were nice and friendly. It was super busy when I checked in, but the staff kept a smile their faces and did what they had to do. The room was not so great. I stayed at 4 bed female dorm and it was small and dirty. The shower was good, but the floor get flooded after someone takes shower. The bed movesand shakes everytime someone moves during night and I woke up at least once every hour at night. Overall, it was an uncomfortable stay in 4 bed dorm.

Yellow hostel has great facilities on offer for guests. Everything is accessible and convenient to the hostel. I personally didn’t enjoy the room, it smelt awful and wasn’t ready on check in time so we had to wait which was fine but when we got into the room it really wasn’t a reflection of the pictures advertised. It was very old, outdated and smelt like something died in there. I would think this hostel would be great for tour groups, young people wanting to party but it wasn’t for us. I really like what they have developed in the street with the bar, restaurant, laundromat etc. though. It makes it easy for solo travellers.

We stayed at The Yellow 10 years ago on our first trip to Rome and decided to visit again! The place is much bigger and with a great atmosphere for young people: bar, garden, scape room etc.
