10/10 Exceptional

Nice Historic Hotel
I love staying at the Architect hotel when I'm in the office for meetings. The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable and customer service is excellent.

10/10 Exceptional

First time in DC.
Great location and great value for the $. Older building so could use some updates, but great spot.
John, 1-night trip

Excellent location

8/10 Very good

We loved the charm of the building and the convenience of walking to all of the capital buildings. Bonus was that the Metro was a block away.
Jack, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very central but the hotel is very old it looks like a motel.
Jose, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location!
This hotel is located in the heart of downtown DC with easy access to the metro. I thought the room was a bit tired and small but for the price—it could not be beat
Allison, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

A decent value for Washington DC
Anatol, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Fairly priced stay in Washington. Property was in close proximity to the metro line which is helpful. Somewhat dated fittings but everything is very clean and well presented.
James, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Unflexible and not understanding hotel.
Accidentally booked for same day when trying to book a date 4 months from now, contacted the hotel right away but they refused to give a refund or help me change the date. Now i have to pay a night in Washington for tonight, despite not even being in the US.
Benjamin, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The Hotel is good for what it is- a place to stay and in a decent location. It is pretty bare bones with no accessories besides the room. The room was sort of Euro in its size and amenities. It has all you need and it was clean and easy to deal with.
Lawrence, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is an old building that is in a nice area. The lobby smells weird and the carpet is out of date but it is a good price and fine if you don't plan on hanging out in the hotel a lot. You can easily walk to the white house and there are restaurants around. It feels like a safe area as well.
Marion A, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

A nicely located, charming hotel
Susanne, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Worst room I’ve stayed in having done business travel for almost 50 years.

10/10 Exceptional

Clean, friendly staff and great location
Nicole, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great cheaper option in central Washington. Met our expectations.
Martin, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Needed a room at the last minute. This was the only reasonable priced option in the area. Hotel needs updating and the a/c unit in room was loud. There was also a musty smell in the room. Otherwise it was a clean room and the hotel served the purpose for the night.
Charles, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

It was gross
Ryan, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

In the center but could be better
The hotel is in ideal position next to the White House. It was clean and the staff was friendly. However is rather old and could benefit from some renovation. The hot water in the shower was taken several minutes to come and the noise from the ventilation in the room and the bathroom was very loud. Even with the windows closed you could hear the sounds from the street. Overall average but good value for money for Washington.
LEONIDAS, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Good location with reasonable price.
Haoxuan, 1-night trip

Location is excellent, close to the White House and museums area, easy access from different subway lines.

God location for walking to the main attractions

8/10 Very good

Very nice property, helpful staff, privacy and cleanliness. We really liked the location, beautiful building and quiet atmosphere. No-frills means more affordable! We highly recommend the Architect if you're fine with a less than luxurious mattress and pillows. Will definitely stay there again

Enjoyed our stay
Our overall stay was excellent… The only area of improvement at this location is softer beds and Fluffier pillows also Bathroom fans are very loud
