Staff was very nice- mouse in breakfast room- Bathtub cracked- towels were so worn they were dingy dingy brown white towels- lack of towels had to return and count to get so called clean ones- television only had 4 channels- flooring cracked and metal rusted- not a great place

We were given a room and when we opened the door the room was dirty. Bed unmade from the person before us and garbage stacked on the table. The front desk was able to quickly assign us a new room, but we had to kill 3 wasps, several kissing bugs and several flies. Floors were stained and dead bugs on the table and the floor. We attempted to find a new place stay, but with the busy weekend we had no choice. We checked out around 2:45 am as there were more bugs crawling on the headboard.

Disappointed

Run down, bed worn to too soft, tv had 2 channels that were abc and twc. All others were scrambled or not there. Temp in 40s outside, had only floor space heater. Cabin didn’t seem to be insulated enough.

Better than expected, overall good!

Location is excellent and at a great price. Cleanliness was mediocre; towels were stained and bathroom could use updates for example, the tub is very slippery and dangerous. We laid a towel down to avoid slipping. But the service was friendly and professional. We reserved a non-smoking room but were given a wrong one, and manager changed our room right away. Okay for a quick trip, but I would not stay more than 2 nights.

The area is fantastic. The hotel needs a lot of upgrade. The breakfast was good. Now the toilet in the room was only 3 inches from one wall, it was uncomfortable. The shower is snall- very small.

Very nice for an older building

The staff was so nice and helpful. He showed me where my room was. I was skeptical at first because it’s an older building and the parking lot is crowded. But the room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t hear my neighbors at all. My only problem was that there was no USB charging port and I didn’t have any adapter with me so I had to charge my phone in my car. But for the price and due to the busy Labor Day weekend, it was worth the money.

Friendly helpful staff. Decent room, could be aired out a bit. Hot shower. Liked the porch outside the room. Sink was outside the bathroom which made it convenient for one to shower while another uses the sink. Breakfast was good.

I really enjoyed the area around the property. I was out there for the 85th Sturgis Rally. We were supposed to stay at Baymont in Spearfish which was a horrible disaster and then ended up here. I felt very safe at this property. I parked my motorcycle outside with no fear that there would be issues. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The building itself was older. You could tell though that they had made efforts to make the building nice. Our room had a jacuzzi, but it was out of order. Overall, if I had to stay here again, I would. But I would not seek this out as my first choice in the area.

Ok for the $$

Owner was very nice. They do not have Conditioner for the showers, which was weird. The rooms are dated but comfortable enough. It's the cheapest option in town and you get what you pay for. Hot Breakfast was ok but definitely was powdered eggs. The pictures are a variety of the old hotel(blue) and repainted white. The pool was filled in and is now the firepit.

The lying owner/manager lied to me and said that he did not have my Expedia reservation for for 3nights so I had to make another reservation when I called him up to say that I would be late on July 29 for my Expedia reservation.The lying owner/manager said that I did not prepay for the Expedia reservation that I made.In fact I did prepay for part of the reservation and he did not credit me for it.To add insult to injury,the same dishonest owner/manager tacked on an additional unwarranted 100 dollar charge at the end of my reservation for routine cleaning.Nothing was damaged or stained.The floors and counters were clear ready to clean.Aii the garbage was in receptacles. I am forced to dispute his dishonesty with Citibank Mastercard.

Nothing to live in but for a few nights it was good for the price could use some cleaning up around back at the creek for a little walk but a lot of people never new there was a creek back there ha ha
