We stayed at Josephine Hotel in Larnaca with our two children and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We had booked a family room, but a day after checking into room 203, our bathroom started filling with cigarette smoke, which quickly spread into the room.
This was very disturbing and potentially harmful, especially for our children. We reported the issue immediately, but the hotel maintenance team was unable to fix the problem. Instead of resolving the situation properly, we were moved to a much smaller double room that was clearly not suitable for four people because the hotel was fully booked.
At one point, the hotel also offered to move us to another hotel, but it was far from the one we originally booked, which would have created even more trouble for us with the kids.
To make things worse, the reception staff was very disappointing and unapologetic throughout the experience. We didn’t feel supported or cared for as guests, especially in such a stressful situation. It was a total mess.
Having to move rooms mid-stay with two kids and all our luggage was a major inconvenience. We expected better from the hotel. Especially after we stayed there several times in the past.
Would not recommend this hotel to families, especially if you’re expecting a comfortable and safe environment for children.
